THE MIXED SCHOOLS
I read a lot about this subject…the mixed schools have its supporters and its objectors…and each team has its own reasons! But the reality expresses itself. So, I'm with the objectors' side.
I read countless stories and problems came up with this mixing.
In we look to the situation in the west for example….we will see how much they suffering with the results of mixing.
They demanding now to separate male and female students and make schools for each type.
What I found that lots of illegal relations happened with the students in the mixed schools…and I read about young girls maybe between 15 to 19 involved with such relations and eventually they left alone with illegal babies. So, they ruined their lives… and became single moms in very young age!
Another look to what western governments do about this…I found that they give this type of the society…aid and allowance…so there is a worthy amount of money goes to this type of their society while there is much easier way to avoid all this mess by making girls schools and boys schools.
They remarkable thing about this issue that I found that the "Elite Schools and Colleges" aren't mixing…for example: Eton College is only for boys and princes and rich boys study in it…William and Harry studied there….even their mother Princess Diana studied in special and private School for Girls Only!
There is a rational direction now in west to separate students and make girls' schools and boys' schools. That way can create a healthy, straight and natural environment for studying… so each type of the students can concentrate on their education and away from any dispersed matters.
That reminded me with a story I found long time ago in Majid Magazine about a lady who was so supporter to this idea of mixed schools…she was in a meeting to give her supporting and defining her direction. Her fellow noticed that she was worry and using her cell phone a lot…so he asked her: what's a matter?! Why are you worried?!!
She replied: my daughter alone in the house and she is using internet and (I'm worry and afraid that she could meet any abuser through internet)!!!!!!
What a joke!! She was worried that about her daughter from meeting through virtual space with abusers and she isn't worry that can happen to her daughter when she goes to mixed schools and be side by side with such type!!!
I'm talking about this subject because I met a mother of girls who told me about this rumor…I'm not sure that really true! But she said that there is a plan to make all schools in OMAN mixed schools… elementary school to high school!
She was mad, upset and really resentful. She said: if that really happened, I will not allow my girls to go to school! How can I trust my girls to be in same classes with unknown boys!!!
I can't blame her for her feelings! I will do the same…but I can't believe that really will happen…
Any plan must have the positive and negative points…
And what kind of advantage expecting from it!
We have mixed colleges and universities…and I think it's enough to have that mixing because it can help to deal with male fellows and learn how to deal with mixed life. It's more than enough in our colleges and universities and we all know how it was and how it's still has negative points and there is who misusing this kind of mixing.
While in schools…that will create huge problems and I believe we will face countless problems and cases and more students will be involved in bad behaviors.
So, why we create such wrong environment for our students and we saw the west experience in this issue and we witness their new direction in separation.
I only Hope this is only a stupid rumor and nothing of this will happen.
I am not for co-ed education for teenagers, I think its in that age when the hormones starts flowing and kids would start do things they shouldnt.
but I am all for it for young kids,, boys have to learn that they live with women later .. and girls should learn that she will have to deal with guys too ..
I dont think that the ministry of education would make the school mixed .. if the university is quite seperated until now .. how can secondary schools be mixed ..
